S3E7 0:01:10 Interesting note. Hey look, its Metropolis!
Yep. |
"Well at least the trains didn't collide, right..." |
"...right guys?" |
S3E7 0:05:30 Interesting note. First time we have seen (or really, even heard of) Superman in the Beyond series. With the Justice League mentioned earlier (the whole Micron thing in Metropolis) and now Supes, it looks like shit is getting real.
S3E7 0:13:00 What looks like a train station suffers a small explosion, three commuters dead.
Shit is getting real. |
S3E7 0:13:03 Half of a public building explodes. I have no idea what it
is. It doesn't seem to be closed as there are two casually dressed young
people approaching the building before it explodes and two more high
school or college looking kids in the foreground. So I am going to
hazard that this may be a shopping mall. With that, I will put
forty-five stores inside of it. Eight of the stores are vacant five of
them are in the food court which closes at 9pm. Thirty two stores with
an average of four employees, ten custodians, twelve security personnel,
and the four people out front of the mall. Seeing as there are only
four To make my life easier, I am going to cut this right down the
middle and say that 77 people employed by the mall were killed in the
explosion with 30 shoppers. Total dead in the massacre at the mall? 107.
S3E7 0:13:06 More and more explosions. Lots of explosions in the
streets. These are all going to quickly. I am pretty sure that one of
the building that explodes is the mall from a different angle, so I am
not going to count it. But the three explosions in the street and some
falling rubble will kill another eighteen.
S3E7 0:13:50 Holy shit. I am going to add an additional ten for each of those fires. There are an additional two fires after the scene pans to the right.

Death toll after S3E7: 2066
S3E8 0:09:05 Interesting note. Anyone playing Injustice: Gods Among Us might recognize this thing.
Death toll after S3E8: 2066
S3E9 0:03:58 Big Time swings a streetlight into the chest and throat of two police officers. They are hit so hard that it lifts them off of the ground. Lung collapse and tracheal trauma leave both dead.
S3E9 0:15:40 Major and his goons get in a firefight with the police. One dude is shot in the arm but the blonde dude totally takes one right in the chest. Shortly afterwards, baldy takes one in the throat. When Major starts to crawl away from the scene we can hear the gunfight slowly drawing to a close, indicating that the girl and the final thug stupidly continued to fight to the death.

More like Big Fall, right? (I'm sorry) |
Death toll after S3E9: 2073
Well, we finally got back to some explosive episodes with that crazy ass debut from the Justice League. Also, as you may have noticed there are only three episodes in this segment. No, I haven't suddenly forgotten how my own blog works. There are four episodes of Batman Beyond left in the series and I decided the final post on Beyond should be a full entry. So, with that I am going to stop here. Catch everyone next time.
Also, I am aware that I didn't go as crazy in depth with my analysis of the deaths in S3E7 as I normally do. I don't like being that lazy (especially since that kind of silly thought is the whole point of this blog) but seriously, that episode is nuts. The explosions all happen in like five seconds and then after that everything is on fire, Aquagirl is Aqua-rescuing people from the ocean...and, the episode is just crazy.
If I move onto the Justice League as my next show to watch for this blog (and I think that I am), I probably will drive myself crazy looking at every frame I can and doing a more logical count. However, for the purposes of this blog, I am happy with how it turned out.
Cheers.
