The off-screen deaths in: Batman Beyond, Part Six.

S2E8 0:04:06 Donny, a virtual reality addict, snaps while asking for spare credits. He throws a man down and goes at him. I originally didn't include this, but after watching the episode I learned that Donny's addiction is serious. Showing all the signs of real world super heavy addiction. He is desperate, alone and scare. Also, shit people have been killed for less than a few bucks in the real world. Donny strangles a man over a few spare credits.
My precious!
S2E8 Various times. Interesting note. This is the first episode where Bruce starts to open up to Terry about some of his past. Though he doesn't mention specific names or identities, he opens up about some of the hardships of not being able to control what a partner does or does not do.

S2E9 0:04:00 Interesting note. While talking with her father, it is mentioned that, 'Terry has a record...' Is this hinting at a bit of past juvenile delinquency? Something more serious?

S2E9 0:05:16 Interesting note. My all time favorite villain from Batman Beyond finally makes an appearance: Mad Stan. Voiced by Henry fuckin' Rollins, Mad Stan believes that Gotham has become corrupt due to information and technology overload. His solution to the problem? "Blow it all up!" Armed to the teeth with explosives, possessing the strength of a bear and busting out wrestling moves he proves a solid match for Batman. The all time best though is Bruce mentioning that, "...he is unstoppable once he starts to rant.' If you watch only one part of Beyond, click over to the five minute mark of this episode and enjoy.
Zangief would be very proud.
S2E9 0:19:06 Dana drops her improvised torch into the Gotham sewer's toxic dump which explodes (of course Gotham has explosive toxic waste stored and dumped in the sewers). The ensuing explosion overtakes Ratboy (and all of his poor mice). As with every villain death, I will redact this if and when he comes back. But for now, Ratboy is charcoal.

S2E10 0:01:37 Interesting note. Max is quizzing Terry on the U.S. Presidents. The last one (as the show was made in 1999) that Terry recalls is Clinton. Max urges him on by saying, "Come on...Clinton was the fun one and then came the boring one..." Oh if only the writer's of the show knew what was coming.

S2E10 0:18:01 Batman throws Bombshell into a stack of shipping crates. She looks on in horror as one is about to fall. Batman, having not murdered anyone in a while and getting that itch, decides not to do anything about it. The crate falls on her head first before smashing her whole goddamn body. She is totally dead, if not decapitated entirely.

You've been around a lot of corpses. Is that normal?

S2E11 0:07:10 Interesting note. When asked about it, Bruce admits that of course he believes in the paranormal and then goes on to recount, "I've seen it all. Demons, witch-boys, immortals, zombies..." This, of course, is a nice little reference to Bats' colorful rogues gallery.

S2E11 0:07:40 Interesting note. First reference to Terry's deceased father since S1E10

S2E11 0:11:08 Interesting note. Once again, a hint at Terry's possible criminal past. When visiting Juvenile Hall, he mentions to an officer that he, "...had been there before."

My oh my, another fairly quiet four episodes! Even an entire episode without a single death. Oh well, at least we got to see Henry Rollin's kick ass character, the paranormal side of Gotham make a comeback and there are plenty of episodes left.

Most dangerous criminal thus far: You know the answer to this one. No one is stepping up to the Curaré challenge.

See you all next time!
